That necessitates allocating capacities and incorporating extra resources into the grid to guarantee the reliability of the system.

Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) comprise of several rechargeable battery modules (sometimes second-life batteries) that can store energy from various (often renewable) sources and provide it again as required. They have an intelligent battery management system (BMS) as well as an efficient thermal management system. This will optimize energy storage for the best possible temperature control of the battery cells. ​
